Ingredients:
- Butter(unsalted)-1/2 cup,chilled and cut in cubes
- Sugar-1/4 cup
- Flour(all-purpose)-1 cup
- Salt-1/8 teaspoon
Filling:
- Butter(unsalted)-1/4 cup
- Light Brown Sugar-1 cup
- Eggs-2
- Light Corn Syrup-1/4 cup
- Vanilla extract-1 teaspoon
- Flour(all-purpose)-1 tablespoon
- Salt-1/8 teaspoon
- Baking Powder-1/2 teaspoon
- Walnuts OR raisins OR pecans-2/3 cup
Method:
- Preheat the oven at 350'F and grease a baking dish with butter.
Tart:
- In an electric mixture,mix the butter and sugar together until it is light and fluffy.
- A dd the flour and salt until it becomes fine dough.
- Press the dough onto the baking dish and bake it for 20-25 minutes.
- Sprinkle the baked dough with raisins and nuts.
Filling:
- In the electric beater,mix the butter with sugar until it is light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time.
- Add in the syrup and vanilla extract.
- Stir in the salt,flour and baking powder.
- Pour the filling over the raisins and nuts.
Bake for about 20 minutes.Cut it into small pieces.Serve of room temperature of chilled.
