Lentil Soup Recipe



Ingredients:

  • Red lentis (daal) Soaked for one hour
  • 1 Oz- Masoor daal
  • 1.5 pints Chicken Stock
  • 1 Onion
  • 1 Carrot
  • 1 Celery
  • 1 Garlic Clove
  • 1/2 tbsp Salt
  • 1/2 tbsp Pepper
  • 1 tpsn Corn Flour
  • 4 Oz -Milk
  • 4 Oz- Butter
METHOD:

  1. Soak lentils for 1-2 hours befor cooking
  2. Chop Onions, carrots, and melt the butter in a large saucepan
  3. Fry Onions
  4. Add stock, lentils, carrot, celery, garlic and seasoning
  5. Bring it to a boil and lower the heat
  6. Let it simmer for half hour
  7. Blend the mixture in a blender and return it into a saucepan
  8. Mix corn flour with milk and stir it into the soup
  9. Cook until thick
